What started with market umbrellas and outdoor furniture has grown into a collection built for modern Australian living. Backyards, café courtyards, living rooms, playrooms: wherever people gather, we want the space to feel just right.

We're an Australian-owned family business, and that shapes how we think about products. We look for pieces that balance style with real-world durability. An umbrella that holds up through a long summer, a kids beanbag that survives whatever a playroom can throw at it.

How it started

Billy Fresh came from a pretty simple observation: the outdoor umbrella market was broken. On one end, you had overpriced designer pieces most people couldn't justify. On the other, cheap, dull, poorly made options that didn't last a season. There was nothing in between.

So we set out to fix that. We designed what we actually wanted, sourced quality canvas and ethically grown timber, and brought it to market at a price that made sense. That first umbrella is still one of our most loved products, and the same thinking sits behind everything we've added since: find the gap, make something worth buying, back it properly.

From the patio to the playroom

Our range has grown with our customers. We first made our mark on the outdoor furniture scene, and you'll still find Billy Fresh umbrellas shading tables at some of your favourite local cafés. But over the years, we've moved inside too.

Today our collection covers outdoor dining and poolside lounging for those who live for the sun, a dedicated kids range for the little ones, and compressed sofas designed to squeeze through the front door and immediately become the most popular seat in the house. We also continue to supply commercial-grade tables, chairs, and shade solutions to restaurants, cafés, and venues across Australia.

We're a 100% family-owned, Australian business. We started Billy Fresh because we saw a gap in the market: outdoor umbrellas were either way too expensive or cheap and forgettable. We wanted something in between, well made, great looking, and actually affordable. We're proud of what we've built, and we're still just as fussy about quality as we were when we started.

We're based in Melbourne, and you can visit us in person at our warehouse in Moorabbin, VIC (104B Herald Street, Cheltenham, Victoria). We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, and weekends by appointment. Give us a call on 03 8080 9238 to lock in a time.

We back our products. Everything goes through a quality check before it leaves our warehouse, and if something's not right when it arrives with you, we'll fix it. Our 30-day return policy means you can try your purchase at home and return it if it's not for you. We're a small team who cares about getting it right, and you'll always be speaking to someone who actually knows the products.

A bit of care goes a long way. Fold your umbrella when it's not in use, especially if wind is coming. Leaving it open in a strong gust is the quickest way to damage the frame or canopy. It's also worth keeping it out from under trees for long periods, since sap and bird droppings can mark the fabric over time. If you want to extend its life further, a quality cover is a great investment. We sell covers on the site, or get in touch and we can point you in the right direction.
